The story
A lone surfer paddles out through turquoise foam, seen from above — the quiet moment before the wave, when it is just you and the ocean. This is my most ambitious painting so far: two years of work, layer by layer, to get every vein of foam right. It is not a copy of a single photo — it gathers memories of many oceans into one imagined scene.
